Mammoth
Beauty, clarity
Love as the icy wind,
penetrating every barrier I raise.
Worship and community, unity,
the only expression and response.
Growth, renewal, ideas, service,
observe the boldness and reality of God.
Geode
Born of fire and brimstone
blackened, chared, unsightly.
What crystalline perfection lies beneath,
beauty from heat and pressure.

Thoughts from VLI class last niqht- "Pauline Literature and Theology"
Paul stood against the external 'markers' people used to define their relationship with God- circumcision, special diets and days. What externals do we use to classify and judge people in our churches?
We still look to diet, languaqe, music, dress, regularity of church attendance. What else?

Cupid is a sniper
BEWARE
a pierced heart heals slowly
without the care of a gardener.

Things to be:
Present (in the current situation, not off in my own world)
Aware (of needs, concerns, feelings)
Centered in thought
Purposeful
Thankful.

Another year older, how much wiser?

Job Title: Interdimensional ReconciIer
Description: Bring peace and understanding between beings in different dimensions, specifically between Man and God.
I've been thinking about a purpose statement for life, I like this from Andrew Murray: Seek the will and glory ofGod by loving and saving men.

Thoughts for the day-
Love one another.
We're called to serve.
Encouragement brings love.
Busyness is a choice (that keeps us from love?)

Surprise
those mythical 5 minutes
morning and evening
the sun not visible
yet a reflection of glory
less intense, but richer
emotions of wonder, longing, joy
hints of fire, love, desire
carried on wisps of life and ashes
fading quickly
too much for my fainting heart.

Already more than a week into the new year. I hope we haven't forgotten our resolutions yet?
If you didn't notice, you can click on the "comments" under any post and add your own comments! Quite fun, and it's all free.
Tonight was a leadership meeting for VX. We discussed ideas for serving our community, to build relationships and share the good news. Too many ideas to list here, hopefully they'll be compiled and I can add a link to them in the future. Things soon to happen include concerts at the college campus and a prayer booth at the next community fair.

And what a fine January 7th it was.
I've got my tickets to India, Feb 6-22. Now I'm searching for what to see while I'm there.
The bible study tonight was on Intimacy with God. Can I add that to my prayer and worship request this year?

Doing some reading on travel to India - from the US State department travel warning page: 'It is very important to keep in mind that if a driver hits a pedestrian or a cow, the vehicle and its occupants are at risk of being attacked by passersby. Such attacks pose significant risk of injury or death to the vehicle's occupants or at least of incineration of the vehicle. It can thus be unsafe to remain at the scene of an accident of this nature, and drivers may instead wish to seek out the nearest police station.'
Victory!
A beautiful sunrise this morning
Worship and Pray daily
John 6-27 Do not work for food that perishes, but food that endures for eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you.

So I'm reading Waking the Dead by John Eldredge, and he brought up the concept of Original Glory. We're so stuck on Sin, the Fall, this present world that we forget the Original Glory we were created in and for.
Let this be a reminder!

Wow, my very own blog...

From the 'RED' notebook-

The Evangelist
Angels watch with joy
your beautiful words
compassion flowing deep
a heart of love

No hour too late
no sense of loss
every opportunity taken
time has no grasp

Question after question
your life an example
showing the way
to the Father above.
