Explore the world
If you've got a PC and a fast internet connection, checkout Keyhole. It's a global mapping program, recently acquired by Google. The program starts with a view of the Earth as seen from space. You then type in an address, and the program zooms to that spot. If you're in a large city, you'll probably see your house. If there aren't aerial photographs, you'll still be able to see a general satellite image and topographical information. To really blow your mind, check out the tilt button and fly around some mountains. I managed to find St. Peter's in Rome by zooming to "Rome, Italy" and just looking around. You can almost see the individual statues!
Other cool things are 'placemarks', try marking all your friend's houses and then running the Tour to fly between them. You can also overlay roads and all sorts of restaurants and other points of interest.
Oh, it's free for 7 days, then like $30/year. Pretty cheap for access to 13 TB of data.

Theme Song
You raise me up
When I am down and, oh my soul, so weary;
When troubles come and my heart burdened be;
Then, I am still and wait here in the silence,
Until you come and sit awhile with me.
You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up….To more than I can be.
There is no life – no life without its hunger;
Each restless heart beats so imperfectly;
But when you come and I am filled with wonder,
Sometimes, I think I glimpse eternity.
You raise me up…
