Brother Timothy has been released!
While Timothy's brother remains in jail, I want you to know that our brother Timothy has been released! I was reminded of this fact while reading Hebrews this evening, and it seems a good word to end the year with. I've been released from the past, from sin, from missed opportunities, from fear and doubt.
This past year has been quite eventful, how about some highlights by month:
- January: initiated Original Glory, with about 81 posts to date
- February: wedding in India
- March: some poetry
- April: realizing how busy I've become
- May: poetry, plans for Ethiopia, and prayer
- June: baptism and baby
- July: Ethiopia, with a brief stop in Sudan
- August: International Party
- September: preaching
- October: first dates
- November: with Cailin
- December: a very fine Christmas
May God Bless You in the New Year!
Children - Hope and Future
We've heard that many children have been affected by the tsunami. This morning I ran across 2 items that speak to a Hope and Future for children this new year.
Both can be found here, the first is from the Detroit News about how, "With little warning, director saves 28 orphans from tsunami" (in Sri Lanka). The second item is below the Detroit brief, titled "THE SAMUEL GENERATION -- A WORD FOR CHILDREN". Interesting that 2 of my friends have had 'Samuels' in the last 2 years.

Thankful
The message at church last night was on thankfulness. I'm thankful for my safe trip to India in February, considering recent events in the region.

Christmas, 2004
After a long blogging-break, here's a picture of Cailin and I by our Christmas tree. We celebrated Christmas early, since she went back to Mt. Shasta and I'm going to Phoenix tomorrow. Cailin's probably the reason I haven't been writing recently, so you'll have to direct any comments to her. She's also the Gaelic girl referred to in earlier posts.
